On Copyright Infringement
So it seems that YouTube is being asked to pull down all the pirated content which has been uploaded onto it.
I’m of two minds on the contentios issue.
On the one hand, it is unreasonable to ask a service to be liable for the content uploaded onto by individual users.
On the other hand, it is unreasonable to ask copyright owners to continual search out copyright infringing material and ask for it to be taken down.
I don’t know what the answer is, but either extreme seems wrong.
